Lush Makeup??
Oh Lush!!
When you hear people mention Lush, you'd imagine bath bombs and smelly bar soaps that look like cakes, yes? As I ventured into the world of handmade soaps and handmade face cleansers and moisturisers, never have I associate Lush with anything makeup-base such as concealers or foundation and such. Well, it may not be something as dramatic as eyeshadows or nail polishes, but Colour Supplements (that's what they're called) would go under, I'd say, Tinted Moisturiser or if not, foundation.
In the new June 2010 Lush Times, it says:
"Perfect for giving you an even, flawless look to your skin; these little beauties will cover up the odd blemish, tone down any redness, and give you beautiful glowing skin. They can be used by themselves as a normal foundation for more concentrated coverage, or they can be mixed with our beautiful range of moisturisers to give a lighter, more dewy, complexion. Made with Red Rose Petal Infusion to calm redness and Glycerine to help your skin absorb moisture, these Supplements do lovely things to your skin, as well as making it look good."
It then continues on to How To Use section:
"If you want to use them as a tinted moisturiser but wake up one morning with a blemish, then dab a little of the colour supplement, neat, onto the offensive little spot. See, it doubles up as a Concealer too!"
Oh yeah? Really!? A Concealer as well, eh? Now this is getting interesting... if it does interest you too, read on...
They come in 4 colours:
Dark Yellow

Light Yellow

Light Yellow is the same beautiful base, but with a pale shade for ivory skin. If you have a porcelain complexion, Light Yellow is the one for you. The blend of soya and rice bran oils is light and does not negatively affect the skin like mineral oils would. Just mix into your favourite moisturiser for a natural tint or use on its own as a foundation. You can also dot a little around unsightly blemishes for effective coverage.
Dark Pink

Light Pink

The ingredients are pretty much alike, with Fresh Rose Petal Infusion, Soya Oil, Titanium Dioxide, Rice Bran Oil, Stearic Acid, Talc, Glycerine, Triethanolamine, Cetearyl Alcohol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, and Colours.
They come in a 20g jar, and costs AUD$17.95
Like it? Love it? Leave it? Have you tested it? What do you think?

I've used it as a normal foundation and it does dry rather quickly, which is probably why they say to just use it as a concealer. It's medium coverage I'd say and it's actually surprised me alot!
Lol I just didn't think Lush would know much about MU products and formulations etc but this one actually wears great, doesn't slide off the face, irritate etc. I've got dry, non acne prone skin nc 37 btw.
I am glad that's a low less orange toned than MAC foundaions.
I'd ask for a sample to try it out. I'm loving it!
Ooh and yay for going back to Indonesia! Kalau sempat ke Jogja kabarin ya :)
